জীবাঞ্চল
জীবাঞ্চল (ইংরেজি: biome "বায়োম") বা বাস্তুসংস্থানিক অঞ্চল হচ্ছে একই রকম জলবায়ু, পরিবেশ, প্রাণী ও উদ্ভিদ সংবলিত অঞ্চল।[১][২] এই এলাকাগুলোকে বিজ্ঞানীরা একই বাস্তুতন্ত্রে একীভূত করে একেকটি জীবাঞ্চল হিসেবে বিভাজন করেন। পৃথিবীতে এ ধরনের জীবাঞ্চলের সংখ্যা প্রায় ১৫০, যার মধ্যে রয়েছে তুন্দ্রা, মরু, তৃণাঞ্চল, বর্ষাবন, পত্রমোচী বন ইত্যাদি। যেমন : তৃণ জীবাঞ্চল।

[সম্পাদনা]ভূত্বক-অভ্যন্তরস্থ জীবাঞ্চল, অণুবীক্ষণিক জীবন নিয়ে গঠিত যা ভূত্বক থেকে কয়েক কিলোমিটার নিচে সাম্প্রতিককালে পাওয়া গেছে। এগুলো কোন্ জীবাঞ্চলের অন্তর্ভুক্ত তা উপযুক্তভাবে বিশ্লেষণ করা যায়নি।
