Wayles Browne, rođen 1941. u Washington, DC, je američki lingvist,[1] slavist, prevodilac i izdavač slavističkih časopisa u nekoliko zemalja. Browne je profesor lingvistike na Univerzitetu Cornell s težištem na slavenskoj i općoj lingvistici, posebno proučavanju i analizi srpskohrvatskog jezika, gdje je jedan od vodećih zapadnih stručnjaka.
