Protein sy'n cael ei godio yn y corff dynol gan y genyn MYB yw MYB a elwir hefyd yn C-myb v-myb myeloblastosis viral oncogene homologue (avian), exon 1 and joined CDS a MYB proto-oncogene, transcription factor (Saesneg). Segment o DNA yw'r genyn, sy'n amgodio ffwythiant arbennig. Mae'r genyn yma wedi ei leoli ar yr edefyn blaen o gromosom dynol 6, band 6q23.3.[2]
