Den længste flode i Irland er Shannon med en længde på 360 km. Floden løber ind i tre søer undervejs; Lough Allen, Lough Ree og Lough Derg, hvoraf sidstnævnte er den største. Shannon løber ud i Atlanterhavet ved Shannon flodmunding.
