Esta página enumera los ganadores del Premio BAFTA al Mejor Documental, anteriormente conocido como el Premio Documental Robert Flaherty, para cada año.
La Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión (BAFTA) es una organización británica que concede premios anuales al cine, la televisión, el cine y la televisión infantiles y los medios interactivos. Entre 1948 y 1990, la Academia concedió un premio al documental teatral. Desde entonces, los documentales han seguido siendo galardonados con los Premios de la Academia Británica de la Televisión y han sido elegibles en todas las categorías relevantes de los Premios de Cine. En 2012, la Academia reintrodujo esta categoría en reconocimiento al número de documentales de alta calidad que se estrenan cada año en los cines del Reino Unido.[1]
