تونل‌بیر (خرس تونل،TunnelBear VPN) یک ارایه دهنده شبکه خصوصی مجازی (VPN) عمومی است که مستقر در تورنتو کانادا است. این شرکت را دانیل کالدور و رایان دوچاک در سال ۲۰۱۱ تأسیس کردند. در مارس ۲۰۱۸، تونل بیر را مک‌آفی خریداری کرد.[۱]
ویژگی‌های
[ویرایش]یک نسخه نرم‌افزار رایگان بر روی اندروید ویندوز macOS و iOS در دسترس است. همچنین افزونه‌های مرورگر بر روی گوگل کروم و اپرا هم وجود دارند.[۲] توزیع‌های لینوکس را نیز می‌توان برای استفاده از تونل بیر پیکربندی کرد.[۳]
مانند دیگر خدمات VPN این برنامه توانایی برای دور زدن فیلتر محتوای اینترنت در بسیاری از کشورها را دارد.[۴] این برنامه اجازه می‌دهد تا به نظر برسد کاربر در یکی از ۲۰ کشور مختلف (از جمله ایرلند و ایالات متحده آمریکا سوئد و ایتالیا) قرار دارد.

we’re excited to announce that you can now connect to TunnelBear on Linux! We currently have apps for Windows, OSX, iOS and Android. While we aren’t quite ready to build a full application for Linux, we are now offering settings and instructions for manual configuration of a connection to the TunnelBear network (for Giant and Grizzly TunnelBears). We’ve successfully tested these settings on new installs of Mint and Ubuntu in the office. We want to send a big thank you to the TunnelBear Science Division Volunteers (our Beta group) who helped test these settings on half a dozen other Linux distributions.
