Historia

Rob Cavallo syntyi Washington (DC):ssä, mutta muutti kymmenenvuotiaana Kaliforniaan. Teininä hän soitti paikallisissa bändeissä ja valmistuttuaan lukiosta hän alkoi työskennellä äänitysteknikkona. Cavallo valmistui lopulta Etelä-Californian yliopistosta. 1980 luvun lähestyessä Cavallo työskenteli tuottajana ns. tukkaheviyhtyeiden kanssa ympäri Hollywoodia.
