The National on yhdysvaltalaisen indie rock -yhtyeen The Nationalin debyyttialbumi. Albumi on tyyliltään countryvaikutteisempi kuin yhtyeen myöhemmät albumit. Sanoitusta kappaleesta ”29 Years” käytettiin myöhemmin yhtyeen vuoden 2007 albumin Boxer kappaleessa ”Slow Show”.
Mies albumin kansikuvassa on yhtyeen rumpali Bryan Devendorf.
