By de Polytechnic Law of 1992 (PNDC 321),[4] wey ecam turn fully operative for de 1993/1994 academic year insyd, dem rise Accra Technical University go tertiary status. Dis Act give de Polytechnics power say dem go fi award Higher National Diplomas (HND), Diplomas, den oda Certificates wey de National Accreditation Board (NAB) approve, den award Degrees under conditions wey de council of dat Polytechnic fi determine. Right now, Accra Technical University dey offer ten (10) Degree (Btec) den fifteen (15) HND Programmes. Dese programmes dey run for three schools.
