De Oti Region be one of de six regions dem freshly create for Ghana[1][2] for December 2018 insyd.[3][4] Dem carve de region out of de northern part of de Volta Region wey ebe in fulfillment of campaign promise wey de New Patriotic Party make. The region was carved out of the Volta Region and will be in fulfillment of a campaign promise made by New Patriotic Party. Prior to de 2016 Ghanaian general election, de then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo declare say wen dem electe am, he go explore de possibility of make he create new regions out of sam of de existing regions insyd Ghana so say e go bring government closer to citizens.[5] Na dem inaugurate de region for May 14, 2019. E get Dambai as ein Regional Capital.[4]
