De Pentecost University be private university wey dey Sowutuom for Greater Accra Region of Ghana. De Church of Pentecost (COP) wey establish am wey e evolve from De Pentecost Bible College wey initially train only Lay Leaders den full-time Ministers give de COP. For May 22, 2003 insyd, J. A. Kufuor, de former President of Ghana, inaugurate PUC for de Sowutuom campus. Dem induct de first PUC Council for May 6, 2004. National Accreditation Board (NAB), Ghana accredit Pentvars for November 2004 wey Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wey be President of de Republic of Ghana award ein Presidential Charter for May 28, 2020 insyd .[1][2][3] Prior say ego receive ein Presidential Charter, na de university be affiliate plus Kwame Nkrumah University of Science den Technology, University of Cape Coast, den University of Ghana.[4] For June 1, 2020 insyd, de university announce de appointment of Rev. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, wey replace Apostle Daniel Okyere Walker, as de first Vice-Chancellor since de university cam turn fully-fledged.[5]

De student population be about 3000, made up of students wey enrol for degree, certificate den professional programmes insyd.

De main campus of Pentecost University dey Sowutuom, away from Accra. Sowutuom (wey literally dey mean “ make you hold your gun”) dey within de western parts of Accra, sam quiet den serene area off de Kwashieman-Ofankor highway.
