Potato Potahto be Ghana-Naija comedy film wey follow de life of two people wey be husband and wife, but dem divorce, and now dem forced to stay together for de same house.[3][4]
De film be co-production between Naija companies Ascend Studios, 19 April Entertainment Virgo Sun Ltd and Lufodo Productions, and Ghanaian film maker, Shirley Frimpong-Manso direct am. E dey tell de story of how things take turn when husband and wife wey divorce still dey stay together for de same house, and each of dem take young fine boy or girl as helper.[5] Dem shoot de movie within two weeks, with help from Swedish, French, British, Naija and Ghanaian film producers wey work together.[6]
Potato Potahto get good reception from de public, because of Shirley Frimpong-Manso's earlier successes wey make people trust her work. De movie get rating of 7.9 from users on Nollywood Reinvented.[7] Potato Potahto show for big film festivals like Cannes Film Festival, Durban International Film Festival and British Urban Film Festival. De film also be part of de selections for Film Africa Festival from October 27 to November 5. For December 2019, Potato Potahto officially enter Netflix's list of movies.[8][9]
