While for de past insyd, de varsity get satellite campuses thru out de KwaZulu-Natal Province den even further afield, e currently get satellite campus per, wey dey offer mostly certificate den diploma programmes insyd Richards Bay. De University of Zululand be contact-only university, plus 8,751 students dem enrol insyd 2007. Dis total include 8,738 full-time students den 13 part-time students. Of de total, na 8,583 be South African citizens, while na 75 be from oda SADC countries den 93 students from non-SADC countries. Na enrollment be 17,360 students for de academic year of 2018.[1]

Sports den Recreation be govern by de Student Services Department wich dey carry out sam of de co-curricular services wey dey aim make e dey contribute towards total personal student development den advancement. Der be 23 sports codes dem classify as indoor den outdoor.

Indoor sports dey include aerobics, basketball, bodybuilding, boxing, chess, dance, judo, karate, pool, squash, den table tennis.

Outdoor sports dey include athletics, cricket, hiking, hockey, netball, rowing, rugby, soccer (men den women), softball, swimming, tennis, den volleyball.
