Akwatia Wani gari ne a cikin Denkyembour, wani yanki ne a yankin Gabas ta kudu na Ghana da yamma da Yankin Atewa a cikin Kogin Birim. Akwatia yana da yawan mutane mazauna a shekarar 2013 akwai mutane 23,766.[1] Akwatia shine babban cibiyar hakar lu'u-lu'u a Ghana. Garin shine tsakiyar yankin majalisar wakilai ta Denkyembour.

Makarantun yankin sun hada da St. Rose's´High School da Akwatia Technical Institute. Kungiyar kwallon kafa ta gida itace Akwatia Diamond Stars.[2]

Akwatia na iya yin alfahari da asibitoci biyu, Asibitin Saint Dominic da Asibitin Kamfanin Gada Jiki na Ghana (G.C.D Hospital). Asibitin Saint Dominic a Akwatia yana da kayan gado mai gadaje 320, kuma yana da kayan aiki sosai kuma asibitin ya buɗe asibitin ido a 2003.[3]

Filin lu'ulu'u na Akwatia yana cikin duwatsun Birimiya kuma ya samar da sama da 100,000,000 (20,000 kg) na lu'u lu'u, galibi ƙirar masana'antu.[4] Kamfanin (GCD) wanda mallakar gwamnatin Ghana ne kawai ke samar da lu'u-lu'u ta hanyar kasuwanci, ta hanyar yin amfani da ma'adinan da Manitowoc.[5] An gano manyan albarkatun lu'u-lu'u a cikin ajiyar Kogin Birim na kusa, gami da wani meta-lamproite da aka canza wanda zai iya wakiltar tushen lu'u-lu'u na farko.[6]
