Buud Yam fim ne na wasan kwaikwayo na tarihi na Burkinabé na shekarar 1997 wanda Gaston Kaboré ya rubuta kuma ya ba da umarni. Shine cikon fim ɗin Wend Kuuni. Ya zuwa shekara ta 2001, shi ne fim ɗin da ya fi shahara a Afirka a Burkina Faso.[1]

Ba a san ma'anar taken ba: buud na iya nufin duka "kakanni" da "zuriya", yayin da yam yana nufin "ruhu" ko " hankali."[2] An fassara shi azaman Soul of the Group.[3][4]

Fim ɗin yana nuna al'adar baka ta Afirka.[5] Set in a nineteenth century village, it follows a group of characters from Kaboré's debut film Wend Kuuni.[6] An saita shi a cikin ƙauyen a ƙarni na goma sha tara, yana biye da ƙungiyar haruffa daga fim ɗin farko na Kaboré Wend Kuuni. Wend Kuuni ( Serge Yanogo ) wani matashi ne da ake zargin yana da hannu, ta hanyar yin amfani da sihiri, don rashin lafiyar 'yar uwarsa da aka yi reno. Don taimaka wa 'yar'uwarsa, da kuma share sunansa, ya yi ƙoƙari ya nemo mai warkarwa wanda ke amfani da almara "ganye na zaki". Yana kuma neman tushensa.[6][7]

A cikin shekara ta 1997, an nuna Buud Yam a bikin Fim na Cannes a lokacin Directors Fortnight kuma yana da farkonsa na Arewacin Amurka a bikin Fim na Duniya na Toronto. Ya lashe kyautar Etalon de Yennega (The Grand prize) a bikin Fim da Talabijin na Panafrica na 15 na Ouagadougou.[8]
