Kanar Daniel Akintonde (an haife shi ranar 21 ga watan Nuwamban 1949) a Jihar Filato. Ya fito ne daga Ogbomoso dake Jihar Oyo.[1] An naɗa shi gwamnan soja a jihar Ogun ta Najeriya daga cikin watan Disambar 1993 zuwa watan Agustan 1996 a lokacin mulkin soja na Janar Sani Abacha.[2][3]
A 1994 Akintonde ya canza sunan Kwalejin Ilimi ta Jihar Ogun zuwa Kwalejin Ilimi ta Tai Solarin don girmama marigayi likita Tai Solarin.[4] Akintonde na daga cikin waɗanda aka kama da hannu a juyin mulkin watan Disamba na shekarar 1997.[5] An wanke shi daga tuhumar a ranar 20 ga watan Afrilun 1998.[6]
Ya yi ritaya daga aikin soja a cikin watan Yunin 1999, tare da dukkan jami’an da suka taɓa riƙe muƙamin minista, gwamnoni ko masu mulki a zamanin gwamnatin Babangida, Abacha da Abubakar.[7] A cikin watan Agustan 1999 ne Majalisar Dokokin Jihar Ogun ta gayyaci Akintonde domin ya amsa tambayoyi kan wasu kwangiloli da aka bayar a lokacin da yake mulki. An hana ƴan jarida shiga sauraron ƙarar.[8]
