Dora Nkem Akunyili (an haifeta a watan Yulin 1954 kuma ta mutu a shekara ta 2014) ta kasance Darakta-Janar na Hukumar Kula da Abinci da Magunguna da Kulawa (NAFDAC) ta Najeriya daga 2001 zuwa 2008.

An haifi Dora Akunyili a garin Markurdi, jihar Benuwai ga Cif da Mrs. Paul Young Edemobi. Ta yi jarabawar kammala karatun sakandaren Afirka ta Yamma (WASC) a cikin makarantar Queen of Rosary Secondary School, Jihar Enugu inda ta kammala da matakin Grade I Distinction. Ta sami nasarar tallafin Karatun Firamare na Gwamnatin Gabashin Nijeriya da Gwamnatin. Tana da yara shida da jikoki uku

Bayan mutuwar ƴar uwarta Vivian, wacce ta mutu bayan shan allurar insulin ta bogi a shekarar 1988. Dora ta zo a sahun gaba na yaki da jabun magunguna.

Ta rike muƙamin ministar sadarwa tsakanin 2008 zuwa 2010[1]. Masaniyar ilimin harhaɗa magunguna wadda ta samu amincewa da karɓuwa a dukkan duniya.[2]. Ta samu kyaututtukan yabo bisa ga ayyukan ta a fannoni na harhaɗa magunguna da kula da lafiya da kare hakkin dan adam.[3]

Akunyili ta shiga takarar neman kujerar sanata ayankin Anambra ta tsakiya karkashin jam'iyyar APGA,inda tayi rashin nasara a hannun Chris Ngige na jam'iyyar ACN[4]. Ta kalubalanci zaben a gaban kotun karbar kararrakin zabe ta Najeriya.[5] Ta rasu a wani asibiti a Indiya ranar 7 ga Yuni 2014 a dalilin cutar daji.[6]

Her funeral took place on 27 and 28 August, and was attended by many dignitaries from within Nigeria and beyond, including President Goodluck Jonathan (2010 to 2015), the then Nigerian President and a former Nigerian military ruler General Yakubu Gowon[7].
