Methenium

In chimia organic, methenium (de methyl-enium (en)), methyl cation o methylium es un cation de formula CH+3.

Pote esser vidite como:

• un methyleno radical (:CH₂) con un additional proton (H⁺);
• un methyl radical (•CH₃) con un electron removite. Es un carbocation (en) e un enium (en) ion. Illo le face le plus simple del carbenium iones.^[1]
