Epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus (in anglese Epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus, EHDV) es un specie de virus del genere Orbivirus in ordine Reoviridales. Es un virus de ARN de duple filamento.
Es le agente infectiose del maladia hemorrhagic epizootic (MHE) qui affecta cervides (ubi pote esser mortal) e bovides ubi symptomas (febre, ulcerationes del buccal mucosas, claudication) son proxime de los del febre catarrhal ovin (FCO) causate per un altere Orbivirus, le Bluetongue virus.[1][2] Capras e camelides pote esser contaminate ma sin symptomas.
Vector
[modificar | modificar fonte]Le virus es transmittite al mammifero per parve dipteres del genere Culicoides.[3]
