ロバート・フィリプソン

ロバート・ヘンリー・ローレンス・フィリップソン（Robert Phillipson、1942年3月18日 - ） は、コペンハーゲンビジネススクール名誉教授。スコットランド、ゴウロック生まれ[1]。Linguistic Imperialism and English-Only Europe?: Challenging Language Policy (エスペラント訳： Esperanto by István Ertl: Ĉu nur-angla Eŭropo? Defio al lingva politiko)の著者として有名。ケンブリッジ大学卒業。

ケンブリッジ大学とリーズ大学で修士号を取得[2]。1990年にアムステルダム大学で博士号を取得しており、1973年から2000年にかけてデンマークのロスキルデ大学の英語の准教授を務めていた[2]。語学教授法、言語政策、言語人権等を研究している。

2010年2月21日、Miquel Siguan i SolerとともにLinguapax賞を受賞。リンガパックス研究所は、彼らを「平和の要因としての多言語教育と、文化的および言語的均質化プロセスに対する言語的権利の有名な擁護者」と評している[3]。
