주세피 장가라(Giuseppe Zangara, 1900년 9월 7일 ~ 1933년 3월 20일)는 프랭클린 D. 루스벨트의 취임식 17일 전인 1933년 2월 15일 루스벨트를 암살하려고 시도했던 이탈리아계 이민자이자 귀화한 미국인이었다.^[1] 플로리다주 마이애미에서 열린 루스벨트의 야간 연설에서 장가라는 며칠 전에 구입한 권총으로 다섯 발의 총을 발사했다. 그러나 그는 루스벨트를 맞히지 못하고 옆에 앉아 있던 시카고 시장 안톤 세르마크를 살해하고 5명의 구경꾼에게 부상을 입혔다.^[2]
