Aesculus turbinata (nomen a Carolo Ludovico Blume anno 1847 statutum) est arborum species generis Aesculi et familiae Sapindacearum. Sponte gignitur sub climatibus temperatis Iaponiae et Coreae et ad altitudinem fere 30 m crescit. Aevo Jōmon fructus obovoides seu pyriformes colligi solebantur, arboresque iuxta oppida crescentes ob hanc rationem protegebantur. Semina enim, quae cruda non edulia sunt, eo aevo ex aqua cocta comedebantur.
