Rumex nivalis est planta florens familiae Polygonacearum, in Europa endemica.[1] Planta ab Alexandro Moritzi in Alpibus Helveticis anno 1836 inventa est[2] Abundissime crescit ad 7000 pedum supra maris aequor.[3] et anno 1839 ab Iohanne Iacobo Hegetschweiler rite descripta.
