ചെന്നൈ തുറമുഖം (മുമ്പ് മദ്രാസ് പോർട്ട്) ഇന്ത്യയിലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ വലിയ തുറമുഖമാണ് (ഒന്നാമത് മുംബൈ തുറമുഖം). കിഴക്കൻ തീരത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ തുറമുഖവും ഇന്ത്യയിലെ 13 മുഖ്യ തുറമുഖങ്ങളിൽ പഴക്കത്തിൽ മൂന്നാമത്തെതുമാണ് ഇത്. മൂന്ന് ഡോക്കുകളും 24 ബെർത്തുകളും ഉള്ള ഈ തുറമുഖം ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയുടെ കവാടമായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ തുറമുഖത്തിന് ഐ.എസ്.ഒ.14001:2004 അംഗീകാരമുണ്ട്.
