പ്രമുഖ ഇൻഡോളജിസ്റ്റാണ് ഡേവിഡ് ഡീൻ ഷുൾമാൻ (David Dean Shulman) . ഇന്ത്യൻ ഭാഷകളിൽ അഗാധ പാണ്ഡിത്യമുള്ള ഡേവിഡിന് 2016 ൽ ഇസ്രയേലി പ്രൈസ് ഫോർ റിലീജിയസ് സ്റ്റഡീസ് ആൻഡ് ഫിലോസഫി പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ചു. തെക്കേ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മതങ്ങളുടെ ചരിത്രം, ഭാരതീയ കവിത, തമിഴ് ഇസ്ലാം, ദ്രാവിഡ വ്യാകരണം, കർണാടക സംഗീതം തുടങ്ങിയ മേഖലകളിൽ നിരവധി പഠനങ്ങൾ നടത്തി. [1] ജെറുസലേമിലെ ഹീബ്രു സർവകലാശാലയിലെ ഭാരതീയ പഠന - താരതമ്യ മത പഠന വകുപ്പിന്റെ മുൻ തലവനാണ്. തമിഴിലും സംസ്കൃതത്തിലും ഗവേഷണ ബിരുദങ്ങൾ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ലണ്ടൻ സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് ശൈവ സ്ഥല പുരാണങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ച പഠനത്തിനാണ് 1971 ൽ ഗവേഷണ ബിരുദം ലഭിച്ചത്.

ഇസ്രയേൽ - പലസ്തീൻ സമാധാന സമിതി പ്രവർത്തകനാണ്.
