2010 ഫെബ്രുവരി 13-ന്‌ ശനിയാഴ്ച വൈകീട്ട് ഇന്ത്യൻ സമയം 7.15-ഓടെ[6] പൂനെയിലെ ജർമ്മൻ ബേക്കറിയിൽ ബോംബ് സ്ഫോടനമുണ്ടായി[7]. ഈ സ്ഫോടനത്തിൽ 1 വിദേശിയടക്കം 11 പേർ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും അറുപതിലധികം പേർക്ക് പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു[8][9][10].2008 നവംബറിൽ മുംബൈയിലുണ്ടായ ഭീകരാക്രമണത്തിനു ശേഷം ഇന്ത്യയിലുണ്ടായ വലിയ ഭീകരാക്രമണമാണിത്. പൂനെയിലെ ഓഷോ ആശ്രമത്തിനും ജൂതകേന്ദ്രത്തിനും വളരെ അടുത്താണ്‌ സ്ഫോടനം നടന്ന ജർമ്മൻ ബേക്കറി. വിദേശികളടക്കം നിരവധി പേർ ബേക്കറിയിലും പരിസരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു[11].
