ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഒരു പത്രപ്രവർത്തകനും എഴുത്തുകാരനുമാണ് പ്രവീൺ സ്വാമി (ജനനം 1969). നെറ്റ്‌വർക്ക് 18 ഗ്രൂപ്പിന്റെ കൺസൽട്ടിങ് എഡിറ്ററായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പ്രവീൺ സ്വാമി, അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര-നയതന്ത്ര-സുരക്ഷാവിഷയങ്ങളിൽ നിപുണനാണ്[1]. ദി ഹിന്ദു, ദ ഡെയിലി ടെലഗ്രാഫ്, ദി ഇന്ത്യൻ എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് എന്നീ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം കശ്മീരിലെ സംഘർഷങ്ങളെ അധികരിച്ച് രണ്ട് ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങൾ രചിച്ചു[2].

1993 മുതൽ 2014 വരെ ഇന്ത്യൻ പത്രമായ ദി ഹിന്ദുവിൽ അസോസിയേറ്റ് എഡിറ്ററായിരുന്നു പ്രവീൺ സ്വാമി. കശ്മീർ സംഘർഷം, മാവോയിസ്റ്റ് പ്രശ്നം, തീവ്രവാദ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകൾ എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി എഴുതിവന്നു[3]. ദൽഹിയിൽ റസിഡന്റ് എഡിറ്ററായിരിക്കേ, 2014-ൽ ദ ഹിന്ദുവിൽ നിന്ന് രാജിവെച്ചു. മാനേജ്മെന്റിലെ അധികാരഘടനയിൽ വന്ന മാറ്റം ഉൾക്കൊള്ളാൻ കഴിയാതെയാണ് പി സായ്നാഥിനൊപ്പം പ്രവീൺ സ്വാമിയും രാജിവെച്ചത്[4][5].

പ്രവീൺ സ്വാമിയുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് നിരവധി പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

1999-ൽ കാർഗിൽ യുദ്ധവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അന്വേഷണാത്മക റിപ്പോർട്ടുകൾക്ക് സംസ്കൃതി സമ്മാൻ ലഭിച്ചു.

2003-ൽ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പത്രപ്രവർത്തനത്തിന് പ്രേം ഭാട്ടിയ മെമ്മോറിയൽ അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു[6].

കശ്മീരുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ലേഖന പരമ്പരക്ക് 2006-ലെ രാംനാഥ് ഗോയങ്കെ അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു[7].

2004-2005 കാലയളവിൽ യു.എസ്. ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് പീസിൽ സീനിയർ ഫെലോ ആയിരുന്നു പ്രവീൺ സ്വാമി[8].
