ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ വനിതാ ഹോക്കി ടീമിലെ ഒരു കളിക്കാരിയാണ് സുശീല ചാനു ഇന്ത്യൻ ദേശീയ ഹോക്കി ടീമിന്റെ നിലലിലെ ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ കൂടിയാണ് ഇവർ.[1]
ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതം
[തിരുത്തുക]പുക്‌രംഭം ശ്യംസുന്ദറിന്റെയും പുക്‌രംഭം ഓങ്ബി ലതയുടെ മകളായി 1992 ഫെബ്രുവരി 25ന് മണിപ്പൂരിൽ ജനിച്ചു. 2010മുതൽ സെൻട്രൽ മുംബൈ റെയിൽവേയിൽ ടിക്കറ്റ് കളക്ടറായി ജോലിചെയ്യുന്നു.[2]

[തിരുത്തുക]- 2013ൽ ജർമ്മനിയിൽ നടന്ന ജൂനിയർ വനിതാ ഹോക്കി ടൂർണമെന്റിൽ വെള്ളി മെഡൽ നേടിയ ടീമിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു.[3]
- 2016ലെ റിയോ ഒളിമ്പിക്‌സിനുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ വനിതാ ഹോക്കി ടീമിനെ നയിച്ചത് ഇവരാണ്. മോശം ഫോമിന്റെയും വിവാദ നിലപാടുകളുടെയും പേരിൽ റിതു റാണിയെ ടീമിൽനിന്ന് ഒഴിവാക്കിയാണ് സുശീല ചാനുവിനെ നായികയാക്കിയത്.
- 121 അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര കളികളിൽ സംബന്ധിച്ച ഇവർ അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നായി നാലു ഗോളുകൾ നേടി.[4]
