Miss World 2005, edisi ke-55 pertandingan Miss World, telah diadakan pada 10 Disember 2005 di Crown of Beauty Theatre di Sanya, China. María Julia Mantilla dari Peru mengangkat penggantinya Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir dari Iceland. 102 peserta dari seluruh dunia bersaing untuk mahkota. Semua peserta bertanding dalam tiga acara "pantas", Kecantikan Pantai, Miss Talent, dan Kecantikan Dengan Pertandingan Tujuan. Pemenang setiap pertandingan segera menjadi salah satu daripada lima belas peserta semi finalis.
