Anthology of American Folk Music er en antologi med seks LPer fra 1952 og inneholder 84 spor med amerikanske folk- og countryinnspillinger fra 1920- og 1930-tallet. Samlingen er kjent for sin viktige rolle for oppblomstringen av folkemusikk i USA på 1950-tallet og 1960-tallet.[trenger referanse]
Antologien ble produsert og sammensatt av Harry Smith, en eksperimentell filmskaper og folkentusiast. Musikken var på tidlig 1950-tallet ukjent for de fleste og utgivelsen bidro direkte til folkets oppmerksomhet til sjangeren samt oppblomstringen av folk music revival-bevegelsen. Innspillingene er hentet fra perioden mellom 1926 og 1932, og er inndelt i tre kategorier: ballader, sosialt og singler. Coveret til antologien viser en monokord tegnet av en engelske vitenskapsmannen Robert Fludd på 1600-tallet. Samlingen var opprinnelig utgitt av plateselskapet Folkways Records, men i 1997 ble antologien utgitt på nytt i CD-format, da av Smithsonian Institution i stedet. I 2003 listet utgivelsen på magasinet Rolling Stone sin liste over The 500 Greatest albums of all time som nummer 276.[trenger referanse]
