Platylomalus er en slekt av biller.

Utseende

Stort sett små (2,5-3,5 millimeter), avlange, blanke, mørkfargede stumpbiller. De er nokså flate sett fra siden. Pronotum er rundet, danner en kontinuerlig kurve med dekkvingene, uten påfallende furer. Dekkvingene dekker nesten hele bakkroppen og er jevnt punkterte uten punktrader.

Levevis

Denne slekten lever mest under barken på døde trær.

Utbredelse

Slekten er forekommer i alle verdensdeler bortsett fra Sør-Amerika. I Norge forekommer Platylomalus complanatus på Sør-Østlandet, men er regnet som truet ^[2]
