[ସମ୍ପାଦନା]ଉତ୍ତମ ମହାନ୍ତି ମୟୂରଭଞ୍ଜ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବାରିପଦାଠାରେ ଜନ୍ମ ନେଇଥିଲେ ।[୬] ସେ ସର୍ବମୋଟ ୧୩୫ଟି ଓଡ଼ିଆ, ୩୦ଟି ବଙ୍ଗଳା ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ହିନ୍ଦୀ ସିନେମାରେ ଅଭିନୟ କରିସାରିଛନ୍ତି ।[୭]
ଓଡ଼ିଆ କଥାଚିତ୍ର ଅଭିନେତ୍ରୀ, ଅପରାଜିତାଙ୍କୁ ସେ ବିବାହ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ବାବୁସାନ ଜଣେ ଅଭିନେତା । [୮]

[ସମ୍ପାଦନା]୧୯୭୭ ମସିହାରେ ସେ ଅଭିମାନ କଥାଚିତ୍ରରୁ ଅଭିନେତା ଜୀବନ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ ।[୯][୧୦] ଏହାପରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଠପଢ଼ାରେ ବ୍ୟସ୍ତ ରହିଲେ ଏବଂ ତିନିବର୍ଷ ପରେ ପୁଣି ପତିପତ୍ନୀ ଚଳଚ୍ଚିତ୍ର ଜରିଆରେ କଥାଚିତ୍ରରେ ଅଭିନୟ କରିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ ।[୧୧]
