[edytuj | edytuj kod]- Pristidactylus: gr. πριστις pristis „ryba piła”; δακτυλος daktulos „palec”[8].
- Pentadactylus: gr. πενταδακτυλος pentadaktulos „pięciopalcowy”, od πεντε pente „pięć”; δακτυλος daktulos „palec”[9]. Typ nomenklatoryczny: Leiosaurus fasciatus d’Orbigny & Bibron, 1837.
