Oliver Ortmann (born 11 June 1967) i a German professional puil player frae Gelsenkirchen. Ortmann i a three-time warld champion, winnin the 1995 WPA World Nine-ball Championship an both the 2007 an 2010 Straight puil warld championships. Ortmann is the second player (after Earl Strickland) to win three warld championships. With fourteen wins, he is one of the most successful players at the European Puil Championships. Ortmann is the second to Ralf Souquet on the Euro Tour, winnin fourteen events. Ortmann wis the first player from Europe to win the U.S. Open Straight Puil Championship, in 1989.
He has representit Europe echt times i the annual Mosconi Cup competition atween 1994 and 2004, and wis on the winning side in 1995 an 2002. With 44 German national medals, Ortmann is one of the most successful German puil players o all time. In 1996, he wis the first cue sports player to receive the Silbernes Lorbeerblatt, the highest sporting award gien in Germany. Ortmann was inducted into the Straight Puil Hall of Fame in an August 2013 ceremony in New York City. The following year, he wis inducted into the Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame.
