San Juan de Manapiare is a toun in the soothren Venezuelan state o Amazonas. This toun is the shire toun o the Manapiare Municipality an, accordin tae the 2001 Venezuelan census, the municipality haes a population o 991.[1]
History
[eedit | eedit soorce]San Juan de Manapiare wis foondit bi the splorer Don Melicio Pérez in the year 1940.[2]

[eedit | eedit soorce]The Manapiare Municipality, accordin tae the 2001 Venezuelan census, haes a population o 991 (doun frae 4,036 in 1990). This amoonts tae 1.4% o Amazonas's population.[1] The municipality's population density is 0.1 people per square mile (0.0299/km²).[1][2]
Govrenment
[eedit | eedit soorce]San Juan de Manapiare is the shire toun o the Manapiare Municipality in Amazonas. The mayor o the Manapiare Municipality is Pastor Nelson Rodrìguez, electit in 2004 wi 60% o the vote.[3] He replacit Benjamin Perez shortly efter the last municipal elections in October 2004.[4]
