The body wis mountit on a substantial separate chassis wi coil-sprung independent suspension at the front an a leaf spring live axle at the rear. Either wire or disc wheels coud be supplied. The standard transmission wis a fower speed manual unit but overdrive wis available on top gear as an option. Lockheed drum brakes wur fittit all roond.
A caur wi overdrive testit bi The Motor magazine in 1954 haed a top speed o 107.3 mph (172.7 km/h) an coud accelerate frae 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 12.0 seconds. A fuel consumption o 34.5 mile per imperial gallon (8.19 L/100 km; 28.7 mpg-US) wis recordit. The test caur cost £900 including taxes. The overdrive option haed added £56 tae the total.
