1995 Malaysian general election

Mahathir Mohamad

General elections were held in Malaysia on 24 and 25 April 1995. People voted in 192 areas to choose Members of Parliament for the Dewan Rakyat. State elections happened in 394 areas in 11 of the 13 states, except Sabah and Sarawak.

The UMNO-led Barisan Nasional won 162 out of 192 seats. Voter turnout was 68.3%.[1] After winning the election, Mahathir Mohamad continued to serve as Prime Minister.
