Ananth Kumar

Ananth Kumar (22 July 1959 – 12 November 2018) was an Indian politician. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. From 1996 until his death, he had represented the Bengaluru South constituency in the Lok Sabha. He was born in Bengaluru, Mysore State (now Karnataka).

Kumar was in charge of two key ministries until his death: Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers beginning in May 2014 and as Minister of Parliamentary Affairs beginning in July 2016 in the Narendra Modi government.

Kumar died of lung cancer on 12 November 2018 in Bengaluru at the age of 59.[1]
