Barbara Rose

Barbara Ellen Rose[1] (June 11, 1936 – December 25, 2020)[2] was an American art historian, art critic, curator, college professor, and filmmaker.[3][4] She was born in Washington, D.C.. She wrote the screenplay for the 1977 documentary North Star: Mark di Suvero. Rose wrote for Vogue, Art in America, Artforum, and Partisan Review.

Rose died on December 25, 2020, from problems caused by breast cancer in Concord, New Hampshire, aged 84.[5]
