Byron Lowell Donalds (born October 28, 1978)[1] is an American politician and businessman. He is the U.S. representative for Florida's 19th congressional district since 2021.[2][3]
Donalds was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2021.[4][5]
During the 2023 Speaker of the House of Representatives election, he was the leading Republican nominee behind Kevin McCarthy since the fourth round of voting for the Speaker of the House. The result is currently ongoing.[6]
