CompUSA

CompUSA was a computer retailer headquartered in Dallas, Texas. It was founded in 1984 as Soft Warehouse. At their height they operated approximately 230 locations. They closed 126 stores in 2007. ^[1] They closed another 103 stores in March 2008. It was owned by Systemax from 2008-2012. They ceased CompUSA physical operations in November 2012. The 2012 locations operated as TigerDirect from 2012-2015. ^[2]
