Dale Launer

Dale Launer (born May 19, 1952) is an American screenwriter who writes, directs, and produces movies. He is famous for making comedy movies which include Ruthless People, Blind Date, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and My Cousin Vinny.

Launer was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised in the San Fernando Valley. Launer knew the family of Elliot Rodger, the man responsible for the 2014 Isla Vista killings. At the request of Rodger's father, Launer tried to help Rodger feel more confident around women. After Rodger's attacks and suicide, Launer shared his experiences in an article for the BBC.[1][2]
