Dan Forest (born October 15, 1967)[1] is an American politician who served as the 34th lieutenant governor of North Carolina from 2013 to 2021. He is the son of former congresswoman Sue Myrick. He was the Republican nominee for governor in the 2020 election, but lost to then-incumbent governor Roy Cooper.
