The Dempster Highway is a north-south highway in northern Yukon Territory and northwestern Northwest Territories, Canada. It is one of two highways in North America (the other being the Dalton Highway in Alaska) that travels north of the Arctic Circle. Almost the entire length of the route is dirt or gravel road.[1]
The southern terminus of the Dempster Highway is in Dawson, Yukon Territory. The northern terminus is in Inuvik, Northwest Territories. The route also crosses between time zones at the provincial line.
