Derek Minter

Derek Minter (27 April 1932 – 3 January 2015) was a British Grand Prix motorcycle and short-circuit road racer. He rode professionally from 1955 and 1967. In 1958, he in fifth place in the 500cc world championship. In 1960, Minter won the North West 200 race in Northern Ireland. In 1962, he won the Isle of Man 250cc Lightweight TT.

Minter was born in Kent. He was an electrician before becoming a racer.

Minter died on 3 January 2015 at the age of 82.[1]
