The Dungeon Family is a hip hop/R&B musical collective. The group was based in Atlanta, Georgia. It specializes in Southern hip hop with heavy funk and soul influences.[1] The group takes its name from "The Dungeon", the name given to the studio of producer Rico Wade. The Dungeon was located in the basement of Wade's mother's house.
The collective released their first album together, titled Even in Darkness, on November 26, 2001.[2]
