Frank Holmes Tyson (6 June 1930 – 27 September 2015) was an English cricketer and journalist. In the 1950s, he played 17 Test matches, taking 76 wickets at an outstanding bowling average of 18.56. He was a fast bowler and was given the nickname "Typhoon Tyson" for his speed.
Tyson was born in Farnworth, Lancashire. In 1960, he moved to Australia and became a journalist. He was married to Ursula and had three children.
Tyson died on 27 September 2015 on the Gold Coast in Queensland. He was 85.[1]
