Gerhardus "Gert" Hekma (24 September 1951 – 19 April 2022)[1][2] was a Dutch anthropologist and sociologist. He was known for his research and publications about homosexuality.[3] He taught gay and lesbian studies at the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences of the University of Amsterdam from 1984 to 2017.[4]
