Glassdoor is a website where employees review their current or previous company. While reviewing their identity is not disclosed to other people by Glassdoor. The website was launched in 2008.[1]
In 2018, the company was bought by the Japanese firm, Recruit Holdings, for US$1.2 billion.[2] The company is headquartered in Mill Valley, California, with more offices in cities around the world, including Chicago, Dublin, London and São Paulo.
Glassdoor was founded in 2007 by Tim Besse and Robert Hohman.[3]
Glassdoor launched its site in June 2008[1] with rankings of companies and information about salaries in different firms. The service also allows to upload photos of offices and other potentially interesting information about the company to help employees make a decision.[4]
In 2014, the company invited Adam Spiegel to become its CFO to help the company to prepare for an IPO.[5]
