Jean Redpath MBE (28 April 1937 – 21 August 2014) was a Scottish folk singer-songwriter. She released over 23 albums between 1962 and 1995. She was worked with American folk legend such as Bob Dylan and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Her last album was The Moon's Silver Cradle.
Redpath was born in Edinburgh and raised in Leven, Fife. As a young adult, she moved to the United States to begin a music career. She was given an MBE in 1987.
Redpath died from cancer on 21 August 2014 at a hospital in Arizona. She was 77.[1]
